Carbon nanofiber vs. carbon microparticles as modifiers of glassy carbon and gold electrodes applied in electrochemical sensing of NADH 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Carbon materials (CMs), such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanofibers (CNFs), and carbon microparticles (CMPs) are used as doping materials for electrochemical sensors. The efficiency of these materials (either before or after acidic treatments) while being used as electrocatalysts in electrochemical sensors is discussed for β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) detection using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The sensitivity of the electrodes (glassy carbon (GC) and gold (Au)) modified with both treated and untreated materials have been deeply studied. The response efficiencies of the GC and Au electrodes modified with CNF and CMP, using dimethylformamide (DMF) as dispersing agent are significantly different due to the peculiar physical and chemical characteristics of each doping material. Several differences between the electrocatalytic activities of CMs modified electrodes upon NADH oxidation have been observed. The CNF film promotes better the electron transfer of NADH minimizing the oxidation potential at +0.352 V. Moreover higher currents for the NADH oxidation peak have been observed for these electrodes. The shown differences in the electrochemical reactivities of CNF and CMP modified electrodes should be with interest for future applications in biosensors. 相似文献

Functionalized ormosil-modified electrodes have been developed for electroanalytical applications. The functionalized ormosil-modified electrodes are made by encapsulating potassium ferricyanide/potassium ferrocyanide within ormosil film derived from an optimum composition of 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyl trimethoxysilane and phenyltrimethoxy silane in acidic medium in absence of Nafion/crown ether (system 1), in the presence of Nafion (system 2) and in the presence of dibenzo-18-crown-6 (system 3). Another modified electrode (system 4) is also developed using the reaction product of potassium ferricyanide, 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and either tetrahydrofuran (THF) or cyclohexanone followed by ormosil formation in the presence of 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyl trimethoxysilane and phenyltrimethoxy silane in acidic medium. The electrochemical oxidation of hydrogen peroxide and ascorbic acid conducted at the surface of these four types of functionalized electrodes shows very interesting observations on the selective sensing of ascorbic acid and peroxide. The results based on cyclic voltammetry justify the relative performances on the kinetics of hydrogen peroxide oxidation and reduction. System 3 shows relatively much better oxidation kinetics of hydrogen peroxide as compared to other three systems with relatively weak reduction kinetics whereas system 4 shows relatively faster reduction kinetics of hydrogen peroxide as compared to other three systems. Similarly system 4 shows excellent response to ascorbic acid whereas system 3 shows insensitivity to ascorbic acid under similar experimental conditions. Typical response curve for the analysis of hydrogen peroxide and ascorbic acid using system 3 and system 4 respectively are reported. The results show that system 3 is the best for probing hydrogen peroxide with lowest detection limit of 0.5 μM without any interference from ascorbic acid as commonly encountered using many conventional and chemically modified electrodes. 相似文献

A label-free, homogeneous aptamer-based sensor strategy was designed for the facile colorimetric detection of small target molecules. The format relied on the target-induced protection of DNA aptamer from the enzymatic digestion and its transduction into a detectable signal through the length-dependent adsorption of single-stranded DNA onto unmodified gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). The proof-of-principle of the approach was established by employing the anti-tyrosinamide aptamer as a model functional nucleic acid. In the absence of target, the aptamer was cleaved by the phosphodiesterase I enzymatic probe, leading to the release of mononucleotides and short DNA fragments. These governed effective electrostatic stabilization of AuNPs so that the nanoparticles remained dispersed and red-colored upon salt addition. Upon tyrosinamide binding, the enzymatic cleavage was impeded, resulting in the protection of the aptamer structure. As this long DNA molecule was unable to electrostatically stabilize AuNPs, the resulting colloidal solution turned blue after salt addition due to the formation of nanoparticle aggregates. The quantitative determination of the target can be achieved by monitoring the ratio of absorbance at 650 and 520 nm of the gold colloidal solution. A limit of detection of ∼5 μM and a linear range up to 100 μM were obtained. The sensing platform was further applied, through the same experimental protocol, to the adenosine detection by using its DNA aptamer as recognition tool. The application of novel electrosynthesized polydopamine (PDA)-imprinted film as a recognition element for the capacitive sensing of nicotine is reported. The PDA-imprinted film was electropolymerized directly on the gold electrode surface in the presence of nicotine without an additional self-assembled thiol sublayer. The compact PDA film has various functional groups that aid the imprinting procedure. Furthermore, the film shows good capacitive response since it is insulating in nature and ultrathin. The sensor’s linear response range for nicotine was between 1–25 μmol L−1, with a detection limit of 0.5 μmol L−1. The proposed molecularly imprinted polymer capacitive (MIPC) sensor exhibited good selectivity for nicotine. The reproducibility and repeatability of the MIPC senor were all found to be satisfactory. The results from sample analysis confirmed the applicability of the MIPC sensor to quantitative analysis. 相似文献

This mini review gives some highlights of the work recently carried out in our research group in Dublin on the developments of lanthanide luminescent devices, where the future goal is to produce devices that can operate as sensors. A few examples demonstrate our design principles for targeting both anion and cations that are of biological or pharmaceutical relevance, where the recognition occurs in aqueous competitive media. Since February 1999 high-resolution Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) solar absorption spectra are recorded at the Izaña Observatory (, 2370 m a.s.l.), which forms part of the network for detection of stratospheric change (NDSC). The vertical distribution of the ozone amount was deduced from the spectra by using the retrieval code PROFFIT. Two microwindows at 782.5 and are used whereby an individually and regularly determined instrumental line shape (ILS) was applied. A detailed error analysis of the ozone retrieval is performed, i.e. the height-dependent impact of all important error sources on the retrieved profiles is estimated. The retrieved total column amounts and profiles as well as their estimated error budgets are verified by comparisons with column amounts and profiles derived from Brewer spectrometer and ECC-sonde measurements performed simultaneously at the same location. Whereas the mean difference of 1.9% of the FTIR total column amounts and the Brewer data lies within the precision of the instruments, systematic differences of up to 9% between FTIR and ECC-sonde profile are observed above . The assumed precisions of the experiments are consistent with the experimental results, which demonstrates the excellent characterization of the FTIR data. The analysis of systematic errors allows to conclude that the systematic differences are mainly due to the sonde data since the systematic errors in the FTIR profile can only explain a small part of them. 相似文献

The average tropospheric volume mixing ratios of chlorofluorocarbon 12 (CCl2F2) have been retrieved from high-spectral resolution ground-based infrared solar-absorption spectra recorded from March 1982 to October 2003 with the McMath Fourier transform spectrometer at the US National Solar Observatory facility on Kitt Peak in southern Arizona (31.9°N, 111.6°W, 2.09 km altitude). The retrievals are based on fits to the unresolved ν8 band Q-branches near using the SFIT2 retrieval algorithm. The annual increase rate was equal to (16.88±1.37) parts per trillion (10-12) by volume at the beginning of the time series, March 1982, or (4.77±0.04)%, 1 sigma, declining progressively to (2.49±1.24) parts per trillion, by volume at the end, October 2003, or (0.46±0.24)%, 1 sigma. Average tropospheric mixing ratios from the solar spectra have been compared with average surface flask and in situ sampling measurements from the Climate Monitoring and Diagnostics Laboratory (CMDL) station at Niwot Ridge, CO, (USA) (40.0°N, 105.5°W, 3013 m altitude). The average ratio and standard deviation of the monthly means of the retrieved tropospheric mixing ratios relative to the CMDL surface mixing ratios is (1.01±0.03) for the overlapping time period. Both datasets demonstrate the progressive impact of the Montreal protocol and its strengthening amendments on the trend of CCl2F2, though a tropospheric decrease has yet to be observed. 相似文献
